Description
StressTest makes it easy to define a test scenario. By simply stepping through a particular transaction, the data entries are stored and an individualized transaction handler gets generated. Several transactions in a sequence define a test scenario.
Test scenarios can be used for various purposes. Once created, a single scenario can run as many times as it takes to establish the desired results. The scenario analyzer produces the test results with information about the outcome of a scenario. The need for such a test run exists every time the system configuration for a particular business process gets changed.
Without an automated testing tool all testing activities have to be conducted manually. This results in a considerable effort and produces results of questionable consistency. By eliminating the need for manual setup and verification activities, StressTest makes system tests effortless, precise and efficient.
Scenarios can be set up to run in parallel bundles to simulate any desired system load situation. The Stress Control Management screen allows for the creation of a performance test setup with several different scenario bundles in sequence or parallel. Any time the hardware or system environment gets changed and the system performance needs to be tested, a StressTest setup can be used to verify the system integrity.
StressTest also provides the unique feature of generating process model scenarios. By adopting a process model during prototyping, it becomes possible to enter test data for a business process model and generate and run the complete transaction chain, obtaining most valuable results for the configuration process.
